EMP4EMS

What is EMP4EMS?

Emergency Medical Profile for EMS (EMP4EMS) is an innovative initiative started by Global Profiles Inc. in partnership with KeepSafe Canada and the Peel Paramedic Association.

In case of an accident or injury, the 'EMP4EMS' card (located attached to the back of the child safety seat) contains everything necessary for Emergency Medical Services (Paramedics) to provide rapid identification and medical treatment of the child, particularly in the event that the parents (adults) are unable to speak or provide medical details. The card also contains important personal and medical contact information that should be brought to the attention of the Hospital Emergency Staff for use in continuing to provide the child with medical care or alerting/informing a pre-authorized contact regarding the child's involvement in the emergency situation.

In 2006, the Simcoe County Paramedic Association adapted the program for residents of Simcoe County.

The kit is available for purchase for $10 each.
